I’ve been wanting to learn how to use Photoshop so I bought a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and spent some figuring out how to use the tools for blending photos together.
All three of these collages were created on a 16:9 ratio canvas that is 26.667″ wide by 15″ high. At 300 dpi this makes each JPG file 8000 x 4500 pixels. The 16:9 ratio was used because that is a common “widescreen” ratio used for PC laptops and widescreen computer monitors which makes the image good for desktop wallpaper.
At 300 dpi these collages should also be good for printing and mounting, or framing, to hang on the wall in your man cave.
This is the main collage. It has more than 125 individual image layers.
This is the first collage that was created while figuring out how to use the photo blending tools.
This was the second collage created just for fun and to see how the tools work for selecting, clipping and erasing the background. A amateur job with several missing feet, legs and other appendages.
All of the digital photos and videos have been uploaded to Flickr and organized into Albums.
On Wednesday morning we were up bright and early for the trip from the Trump International Doonbeg to the old and famous Ballybunion Old Course in the town of Ballybunion. This required a ferry crossing across the Shannon River. MikeM wanted to be sure that the ferry boat captain was on his game so he offered some assistance…
MikeM has the Washer Toss kit ready to go. The basics…
- 2 man teams, random hat draw
- round robin within 2 divisions: Dublin & Belfast
- each game goes to a score of 15: 1pt in the box, 3pts in the can
- championship game has the winners of each division play to a score of 21
From the archives, here is the video from the Washer Toss tournament on the street in front of The Dunvegan in St. Andrews in 2011. When the police showed up and joined in, that was the highlight of the night. For the guys who have not met MikeM yet, that’s him at the start of the video.
