I’ve been wanting to learn how to use Photoshop so I bought a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and spent some figuring out how to use the tools for blending photos together.
All three of these collages were created on a 16:9 ratio canvas that is 26.667″ wide by 15″ high. At 300 dpi this makes each JPG file 8000 x 4500 pixels. The 16:9 ratio was used because that is a common “widescreen” ratio used for PC laptops and widescreen computer monitors which makes the image good for desktop wallpaper.
At 300 dpi these collages should also be good for printing and mounting, or framing, to hang on the wall in your man cave.
This is the main collage. It has more than 125 individual image layers.
This is the first collage that was created while figuring out how to use the photo blending tools.
This was the second collage created just for fun and to see how the tools work for selecting, clipping and erasing the background. A amateur job with several missing feet, legs and other appendages.
I finally found a good piece of software that can take full resolution snapshots from the HD videos. VLC media player is a popular tool for view photos and videos. It has a function that generates images using the full resolution of the video.
The videos contain lots of swings and golf shots and views of the courses. I’ve captured 128 snapshots and uploaded them to an album on our Flickr photo sharing website.

Here is a sampling of some of these snapshots…
Scorecards for each golfer, for all rounds, have been compiled with some new statistics for each golfer:
- MIN/MAX/AVG Gross score
- MIN/MAX/AVG Net score
- MIN/MAX/AVG Daily Ranking
- MIN/MAX/AVG Putts
- Eagle/Birdie/Par/Bogey/Double/Other for each round
- Eagle/Birdie/Par/Bogey/Double/Other totals for all rounds
The edited videos have been rendered in High Definition (1920 x 1080 pixels) and uploaded to our YouTube channel.
Keep in mind that when playing the videos they may not play in the full HD mode. YouTube will determine automatically the resolution that the videos will be displayed depending on the speed of your internet connection.
All of the digital photos and videos have been uploaded to Flickr and organized into Albums.
